Gerald D. Facciani has authored numerous papers and studies dealing with longevity and mortality. He is past President of the American Society of Pension Actuaries (ASPA), as well as a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (AAA). He has testified numerous times before Congress. He has been a keynote speaker at many conferences around the United States and Canada, lecturing before groups such as the American Law Institute, American Bar Association, Society of Actuaries, ASPA, AAA, The International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, etc.
Mr. Facciani founded and built a consulting company in Cleveland, Ohio, which was sold to a public company in 1991. He retired from active practice in 1994 and has dedicated much of his time since 1994 working on behalf of various not-for-profit organizations, as well as researching issues related to wellness, longevity and mortality – all of which form the basis of this book.
Mr. Facciani is a native Californian and a graduate of Carleton College in Minnesota. In 2010 he matriculated at Yale Divinity School, from which he graduated in 2013 with a Master’s degree in Religion. He is a 25-year resident of Southern Nevada.
